Step 1: Select your sequence

It's important to click on the sequence tab you want to export. You'll know it's active because you'll see it outlined in yellow.

At this point, you're ready to export. Under the FILE menu, select EXPORT > Media...

Step 2: modify Export & Save settings

When you've selected Export > Media... the Export Settings window will open. You'll need to CHANGE some settings:

Format: H.264
Preset: Vimeo HD 1080p 29.97
Output Name: click on the yellow underlined file name, and change it to have your LASTNAME_PROJECT. Additionally, make sure you change the save location to your project folder.

Step 3: Share or submit

If you've exported correctly, your video will appear in your project folder as the name you typed in STEP 2 with the extension .mp4. Additionally, you can check the file size and file type by right-clicking and choosing "Get Info" (shortcut: ⌘i),

If you're going to share via YouTube or Vimeo, all you need to do is upload. The .mp4 file is already optimized for those sites.

If you're submitting a class project, you'll need to connect to the SHARE folder through FINDER. In Finder, select the GO menu at the top. When you do so, a "Connect to Server..." window will appear. Click "Connect," and then navigate to the appropriate folder inside BVN_Broadcast.
